Introducing a truly special guitar that pays tribute to the legendary Michael Bloomfield, who sadly passed away much too soon. Known as a solo artist, a member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and a sidekick of Bob Dylan during his iconic performance at the Newport Folk Festival, Bloomfield left an indelible mark on music.

After years of playing a Telecaster and later a Goldtop with P90 pickups, Bloomfield found his ultimate sound when he became the proud owner of a 1959 Les Paul in 1967. In honor of his legacy, the Gibson Custom Shop released a strictly limited edition replica of this guitar in 2009. We are excited to offer you one of just 200 of this limited edition in the VOS (Vintage Original Spec) version.

This stunning guitar features a fantastic flame top in Bloomfield-Burst, displaying an authentic vintage patina thanks to the VOS finish. The aged hardware includes a blackened screw on the bridge, while the control knobs have been modeled after the original, combining top hats, reflector knobs, and speed knobs.

The beefy '59 neck offers a comfortable feel, and the two Burstbuckers deliver crystal-clear cleans with sparkling highs, along with powerful distortion sounds packed with thump. It’s in top condition, with the frets still perfect, making it not just a collector’s item but a killer player as well.
