The Martin 000-EC Eric Clapton 30th Anniversary pays tribute to Eric Clapton and Martin’s 30-year partnership, which began in 1995 following the unprecedented success of Clapton’s Unplugged album.

This acoustic guitar delivers one of Martin’s most time-honored tonewood combinations: a spruce top supported by scalloped X-bracing, paired with East Indian rosewood back and sides. The result is a rich, balanced sound with lush overtones—giving the 000-EC the same sonic power and genre-defying versatility that have made Martin’s midsize 000 a true 6-string classic for more than a century.

The neck features a genuine mahogany foundation carved into an Authentic 1939 profile, topped with a smooth, ebony fingerboard and finished with GE 42 Snowflake inlays. On the top, the 000-EC avoids the original Unplugged 1939 000-42’s pearl perimeter in favor of an elegant herringbone trim and rosette.

Completing the package are open-gear nickel tuners, a slightly slimmer 1.6875-inch nut width, and the classic 24.9-inch scale length—ideal for nailing expressive “Layla” style bends. If you’re a Clapton fan, the Martin 000-EC is a must-have addition to any serious 6-string collection.
