2009 Gibson Custom Shop '59 Les Paul Standard 50th Anniversary 'Gold Book' Limited Edition (1 of 250)

2009 Gibson Custom Shop '59 Les Paul Standard 50th Anniversary 'Gold Book' Limited Edition (1 of 250)
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic 1959 Les Paul Standard in 2009, the Gibson Custom Shop meticulously replicated five authentic vintage models in three versions each. This Les Paul belongs to the limited special edition comprising only 250 units, immediately captivating with its stunning appearance. The exceptional top grain, closely spaced bars, exquisite bookmatching, and striking cherry sunburst with deep red edges make it truly stand out.
The glossy finish adds a touch of class, making this guitar almost too beautiful to take out of its case at first glance. The Custom Shop team paid close attention to recreating the '59 originals down to the smallest details, including the one-piece mahogany body, figured maple top and gold-colored top hat knobs with dial pointers and aged tuner knobs.
As a unique feature of this series, the special 50th Anniversary models come with a "Gold Book" certificate bound in gold. The playability is exceptional, with the 59-Medium neck profile being incredibly comfortable and a joy to play, thanks to its rounded shoulders. This resonant lightweight guitar transmits vibrations excellently to the amp through its two Burstbuckers.
True to the old PAFs, the sound is rich in midrange and shimmering highs, offering a beautiful, dynamic, and versatile tone suitable for Jazz, Blues, or Hard Rock genres. This Les Paul excels across musical styles, delivering outstanding performance in every setting.
