In 2019, Gibson released the limited edition 1959 Les Paul Standard 60th Anniversary model, renowned for its exceptional quality among the commonly seen 'VOS' and standard 'Aged' versions. This edition also includes a rarer, more exclusive 'Murphy Aged' version, personally overseen by the legendary Gibson master, Tom Murphy. The guitar's naturally aged appearance, with all the dings, scratches, and cracks meticulously recreated, resembles the patina of wear over time.

Crafted using premium Hand Selected materials and drawing inspiration from the popular 'True Historic' series, this model is meticulously selected and crafted in terms of wood choice, weight, and grain. The top and body are handpicked by the Gibson Custom Shop department and agents, and each guitar comes with a 'Hand Selected' certificate.
