2003 Gibson Custom Shop SJ-200 Custom Vine Brazilian Rosewood

Gibson never produced many guitars with Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Rumors have persisted that the original pre-war SJ-200s were built with Brazilian rosewood, but this is not true. Indian rosewood was used instead. In fact, there have only been a few rare examples of Brazilian SJ-200. This is one of the finest example and we are thrilled to present it here.

The most striking feature of the guitar is the inlay work which consists of abalone vines on the fretboard and headstock! This vine was designed by Ren Ferguson in the late 90's. Also, the fretboard and the bridge were made of Brazilian Rosewood.
